Spend no more than five minutes in a gym or follow any social media ‘nutritionist’ and someone has probably raved to you at some point about how incredible their diet is ,bodybuilder, powerlifter, or simply a fitness enthusiast. This may be due to a significant increase in body dysmorphia in males, to become more “masculine”, and the advent of psychological conditions such as “bigorexia” which is the opposite of anorexia, where individuals see themselves as too small, and are desperate to increase their size.
If your goal is to gain weight or lose it; the approach has to be structured, maintained and consistent, so that your body learns to adapt because it's beginning to realise you are making it do things on a regular basis so it thinks to itself "oh I better adapt and change a bit now else i won't be able to keep up!".
